AI KPI briefing
Know what changed in your business—and what needs attention.
Connect Stripe, Google Analytics 4, Search Console, a Google Sheet or a CSV. Metrica computes every week-over-week change, every move against the 4-week average and every missed target in code, then writes a short Monday briefing from those numbers only, each statement linked to its evidence.
No account or keys needed: a made-up SaaS company's 12 weeks, analyzed by the same code as a real workspace.
For SaaS founders, e-commerce operators and agencies who'd rather read five sentences than open five dashboards.

- Why it likely changedNearly all of the drop in sessions came from Organic Search, which fell from 3,136 to 1,920. E23
- What needs attentionTrial signups are 251 against a weekly target of 300 (-16.3%). E17
Sample data
Example: Fernhill is a made-up SaaS company; synthetic data for the week of Oct 19 – 25, 2026.Five dashboards, and still no idea what actually changed.
Revenue is in Stripe, traffic in Google Analytics, search in Search Console, and the rest in a spreadsheet. Every Monday someone opens all of them, eyeballs a few charts and guesses what moved.
Dashboards show numbers; they don't say which ones changed enough to matter, where the change came from, or what needs a decision this week. And AI summaries that make numbers up are worse than none.
Metrica does the comparing in code and writes up only what the numbers show, with the evidence attached.
How it works
From your data to a briefing you can check
Connect read-only
Stripe with a restricted key or Stripe Connect, Google Analytics 4, Search Console and Sheets with read-only Google access, or upload a CSV.
Compute in code
Each metric's week against the week before, its 4-week average and your target; unusual weeks; the segments a change came from; what moved together.
Write from evidence only
The AI words the briefing from those computed figures. Any sentence with a number that isn't in its evidence is dropped. No AI key: template wording, same numbers.
Deliver and review
Email on Monday in your time zone, Slack if you like, and read-only share links. Edit or reject any statement, regenerate, export.

Accuracy and data
Built to be checked, not trusted blindly
- Numbers come from code.
- Week-over-week, 4-week average, target gaps and unusual weeks are computed by Metrica, never by the AI.
- Every statement has evidence.
- Each sentence links to the metric, the period, what it was compared with, the computation in words, the source, how fresh it is and the query behind it.
- The AI can't invent figures.
- Every number in an AI sentence is checked against its evidence. A sentence that fails is dropped; if too many fail, the template is used.
- Why, only from the data.
- "Why" means which segment a change came from and what moved in the same week. Coincidence is called coincidence.
- Read-only, encrypted, deletable.
- Read-only access everywhere; keys and tokens encrypted; full secret Stripe keys refused; export or delete everything.
- Limits you can see.
- 7-day free trial, hard limits, no overage billing. Without a plan you keep 2 sources and 5 briefings a month.
What it doesn't do (yet)
- It doesn't connect to Shopify, HubSpot, QuickBooks or ad platforms directly today: export a CSV or use a Google Sheet.
- Stripe MRR is rebuilt from subscriptions at their current prices, before discounts and tax; it isn't an accounting figure.
- It reports what changed and where; it doesn't know about things outside your data (a holiday, a launch) unless they show in a metric.
- Weeks run Monday to Sunday. Daily and monthly briefings aren't offered.

Questions
What is Metrica?
Metrica is a weekly KPI briefing for small businesses. It reads Stripe, Google Analytics 4, Search Console, Google Sheets or a CSV, computes what changed against last week, the 4-week average and your targets, and writes a short briefing where every statement links to the metric, period and query behind it.
Does Metrica's AI make up numbers?
No. Every number is computed by Metrica's code. The AI only words the briefing from those figures, and every number in an AI sentence is checked against the evidence it cites; a sentence that fails is dropped. Without an AI key, briefings use template wording with the same numbers.
How does it know why something changed?
Only from your data: it shows which segment a change came from (a traffic channel, a plan) and which metrics moved in the same week, and says when that's only a coincidence. It doesn't invent outside causes.
Can I try it without connecting anything?
Yes. The try page shows a sample briefing from a made-up SaaS company's 12 weeks of data, with no account. You can also upload your own CSV there: it's read in memory, shown once and never stored, up to 3 files a day.
What access does it need?
Read-only access only: a Stripe restricted key with read permissions (full secret keys are refused) or Stripe Connect with the read-only scope, and read-only Google scopes for Analytics, Search Console or Sheets. Metrica never writes to your accounts.
When does the briefing arrive?
On the day and hour you choose, in your workspace's time zone (Monday at 8 by default), by email to your team and up to 10 extra addresses, and in Slack if you add a webhook. You can also generate one on demand.
How much does it cost?
Starter is $29 a month, Growth $59 and Pro $99, each with a 7-day free trial. Plans differ by data sources, schedules, people and brands. Without a plan you keep 2 sources and 5 on-demand briefings a month.
Is it a dashboard tool like Databox?
It has a dashboard, but the point is the written briefing: what changed, where it came from and what needs attention, with evidence. If you need many custom dashboards and dozens of native integrations, a dashboard tool may suit you better.
Which AI does it use, and is my data used for training?
Anthropic's Claude writes the wording, from the computed figures and metric names only; raw rows, keys and customer records are never sent, and the provider doesn't train on it. You can turn AI wording off.
Who do I contact with questions?
